Hey Henry,

I hope this finds you feeling good and getting all ready for Halloween. Sister is going to be the "Corpse Bride" - complete with black roses, black lipstick and a really creepy veil. It's just delightful... She is so excited, it could be Christmas, it seems that we have been talking about Halloween since January! She wants to put tombstones, ghouls and scary stuff in our yard. (Whatever happened to a Disney Princess or a ballerina costume?) She used to be so afraid of ANYTHING scary, not anymore, the more disgusting the better. She and I went to Spencer's (this awful store in Montgomery), to look at their truly horrific and realistic masks and Halloween get up. They have a half bodied Zombie that crawls on his belly across the floor, he is almost life size and he growls (well it is some kind of scary sound maybe not a growl) He's complete with his bloody, gauzy looking outfit above where he has been cut in half. Of course she was dying for it but that thing chases you around. I said NO... I'd go crazy with him chasing me around the house. He is really bad and very expensive so he won't visit here. I'd love to know what ya'll's plans are for Halloween and what you are going to be. I am sure you have a great neighborhood to trick or treat in.

I hope school is going well and I am so very glad that you have some time to do whatever you want to do.

We love you, Mama and Dad very much. Will check on you soon.

Love,
Aunt Carroll

Hey Henry

I would love to see some pics from your party too. Let me know what you decide to be for Halloween because I need some ideas myself! I just wanted to say hello and let you know I am always thinking about you. I need to get your address from your mama because I have a little treat to send you. I love you very much and hope to see you soon. Love, Lil' Cent

Hi Henry,

With all of this talk about Halloween, I just had to join in! I just love this time of year so much. Don't you love to see the beautiful colors the leaves turn when everyone has a pumpkin on their doorstep? It's so cool! Have you decided what you will be when you go Trick or Treating? Are you having a party at school? It's hard to believe that Willy is too big to dress up. However, nothing would surprise me! I do know that somehow, someway, he will end up with a bag of candy. (Even if he is too old to trick or treat!) I am thinking about you everyday and I can't wait to see you in November. Don't forget our secret. I love you and I am so very proud of you. Happy Pumpkin Day!!!

Your Ghoulfriend,

Aunt Lauda

Hi Henry, Cynthia and Terry! We've discovered your blog and are so grateful to be able to catch up on what's going on with you from so far away! Henry, it sounds as if you have been incredibly brave throughout this whole time! (and your Mom and Dad too!) We're glad that Lamar has shrunk and will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers, especially on Nov. 8th! We'll be back in the US on Dec. 16, so we'll look forward to seeing you over Christmas!

Love, Thomas, Madeleiene, Judy & Chris

Hi Henry, Cent & Terry,

I am up late, folding clothes and doing some little things around the house. I LOVE it when everyone is asleep and no one can bother me! It is so quiet and peaceful.

I hope this finds all three of you well and ready for Halloween tomorrow, (actually today). I never did hear what you were going to dress up as. With all the creativity in the Cermak home, you will have a great costume! I hope you are going to have a big, fun Halloween party at school with all of your friends.

I miss all of you and Henry, I sure hope you are feeling good and I know Lamar (what little is left), is feeling REALLY BAD. You take care of yourself and your parents and know we all love you very much. Let us hear from you and send us a picture of you in your Halloween "getup". Get LOTS of candy and junk...

Love,
Aunt Carroll
